Dr. Uchenna Kole-James pharmacy tenure, which began nine years ago with CVS Health has taken her from Detroit to Medication Education provided by Dr. Uchenna Kole-JamesWashington DC and back to the Metropolitan Detroit area in 2016. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2007 from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Her licensures as a Registered Pharmacist are in the states of Michigan, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. She holds certifications in CPR/Basic Life Support, Suicide Prevention, Medication Therapy Management, and is a Certified Immunizer, immunizing over 600 patients with influenza and pneumonia vaccines, shingles vaccine, and numerous others.

Her passion for excellence in every aspect of patient care prompted her to implement a prescription delivery program for seniors in the surrounding areas of her store. She finds time to counsel patients concerning proper medication administration, precautions, and potential side effects. Her tireless pursuit of new knowledge and expertise in her field has resulted in her employer recognizing her consistency and value with promotions almost every year of employment. She designed educational programs for pharmacy students that enhance their therapeutic and pharmacokinetic knowledge. Dr. Kole-James is an active collaborator with managing patient medication histories between patients, physicians and colleagues. She bases evaluation and interpretation of prescriptions on all patient demographics as well as Drug Utilization Reviews. This ensures outpatient prescription drugs are appropriate, medically necessary, and not likely to result in adverse medical consequences.
