During my time in retail people have asked me many questions and I have compiled many of them into 3 categories. The categories are health, self, and relationships!

Have you read Carol Dweck’s book “Mindset” The New Psychology of Success, How We Can Learn to Fulfill Our Potential?

This book is soo good, and was such an eye-opener for me. This is a definite must read!

She teaches that the view that you have for yourself, will affect the way you lead your life.

So, a fixed mindset is defined by believing that your qualities and your growth are pretty much set, and carved into stone. Having a fixed mindset means you want to do as much as you know how to do, and nothing else. For fear of failure. They prefer effortless success.

A growth mindset is defined by believing that your qualities and growth can be cultivated through effort.  Having a growth mindset means everyone can change and grow through applying themselves and their experiences.

People can have mindsets in different areas of their lives.

2 Ways to have more of a growth mindset

1. Believers Are Achievers – If you believe that you will be able to figure things out, you will work towards it; even if it’s hard.

2. Question Your Negative Thoughts – If there is something if life that you really want to do, and you’re thinking “No, I can’t do that”, your next question should be why? It helps to have a plan for what you want out of life. What is your plan for your life?

The more of a growth mindset you have in different areas of your life, the more you grow.

As you grow and get better, people are going to be questioning your positivity.

The old whenches you were hanging with, are wondering why you are so positive, and why you don’t want to gossip and talk about people anymore. They see that you want more for yourself, and want to achieve more, then the hating really begins.

It’s important to have a plan for what you want out of life.

You can change your mindset!

You don’t have to stay paralyzed in thinking a certain way.

It’s okay to get away from “comfortable” if it doesn’t make you happy.

Questions??

“Self-love yourself, what is more important than you?!”
